জগদ্ধাত্রী বা জগদ্ধাত্রী দুর্গা হিন্দুদের এক দেবী। কার্তিক মাসের শুক্লা নবমী তিথিতে দেবী জগদ্ধাত্রীর বাৎসরিক পূজা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বলা হয় ইনি দেবী দুর্গারই অপর রূপ। কিন্তু সত্যিই কি তাই? উপনিষদে দেবীর নাম উমা হৈমবতী। বিভিন্ন তন্ত্র ও পুরাণ গ্রন্থেও তার উল্লেখ পাওয়া যায়। কিন্তু কে এই দেবী? কী তাঁর ইতিহাস? কতদিন ধরে জগদ্ধাত্রী পুজো হয়? জগদ্ধাত্রী আরাধনা বিশেষত বঙ্গদেশেই প্রচলিত। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের নদিয়া জেলার কৃষ্ণনগর ও হুগলি জেলার চন্দননগর, গুপ্তিপাড়া,নদীয়া জেলার শান্তিপুরের সূত্রাগড় অঞ্চল জগদ্ধাত্রী উৎসবের জন্য জগদ্বিখ্যাত। কিন্তু কীভাবে শুরু হলো জগদ্ধাত্রী পুজো? কে শুরু করলেন? কৃষ্ণনগরের রাজা কৃষ্ণচন্দ্র নাকি চন্দননগরের ইন্দ্রনারায়ণ চৌধুরী? আজ রইল সেইসব গল্প। Jagaddhatri or Jagaddhatri Durga is indeed a significant figure in Hindu worship, particularly in parts of India and Bangladesh. The goddess is celebrated during a festival that falls on the Shukla Navami Tithi of the month of Kartik according to the Hindu calendar. As for the origins of the Jagaddhatri Puja, there are competing legends. Some attribute the start of the festival to Raja Krishnachandra of Krishnanagar, while others credit Indranarayan Chowdhury of Chandannagar. The true beginning may be obscured by time, but each story contributes to the rich tapestry of the festival's history. Jagaddhatri Puja typically spans four days, starting from the seventh day of the waxing moon of Kartik and culminating on the tenth day.
