Spirit Airlines Final Day of Service: NK606 BWI-FLL (Last Departure)

Trip Report from the The Final Day of Operations for Spirit Airlines: On May 1, 2026 I flew on the very last departure of Spirit Airlines flight NK606 from BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport to Fort-Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on an Airbus A321-200. Less that two hours after I landed the Wall Street Journal reported that Spirit Airlines would enter liquidation and cease operations effective 3:00 AM the next morning.
