Watch Rome grow from a few huts on the Palatine Hill to a city of 2.7 million – 3,000 years of history in 10 minutes, as a 3D timelapse in 4K. Year by year the city rises, burns, shrinks and rebuilds on the real terrain of the Tiber valley and its Seven Hills.
From the legend of Romulus to Caesar's triumph, the Great Fire of Nero and the opening of the Colosseum; from the sacks of 410 and 1527 to Michelangelo's dome, the breach of Porta Pia and the Olympic Games of 1960 – and at the end, ancient Rome rises again over today's city to show which monuments still stand.

How it was made: a 3D model built in Blender on real elevation data (Copernicus DEM, TINITALY) and the real course of the Tiber (OpenStreetMap). Every house appears and disappears at its own date. Ancient and medieval buildings are reconstructions; population figures before modern censuses are estimates. No AI-generated visuals.
