Peru Preview - PeruRail and Ferrocarril Central Andino

A short preview of my recent trip to the amazing land of Peru. The trip started with to the narrow gauge PeruRail operations between Cusco and Aguas Caliente (Machu Picchu Pueblo). PeruRail operates a very dense schedule of trains, mostly powered by vintage ALCO and EMD export models to transport both tourists and locals to Machu Picchu. We next visited the Ferrocarril Central Andino which operates the second highest railroad in the world from Lima to the summit at Galera and onto La Oroya and Cerra de Pasco.
