Learning to Ski at Afriski Lesotho | Big Slope POV

Learning to ski at Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho — mostly by falling down the big slope until I eventually figured it out. This was my first time skiing, and getting down the main slope turned into about 30 minutes of falling, getting back up, trying again and slowly learning what the skis actually wanted me to do. Partway down, one of the Afriski staff members gave me some much-needed help and pointers. Eventually, I made it to the bottom. Definitely not the cleanest ski run you'll ever watch — but that's kind of the point. This is what learning something completely new actually looked like. A brilliant experience, a lot learned, and next time I intend to be considerably better.
