Cold Air, Heavy Snow and Multiple Tropical Systems

The wind threat from Isaias is increasing as the storm is expected to strengthen before reaching the northern Gulf Coast, and we're seeing better agreement that its rain will spread well inland and eventually into the Mid-Atlantic. But out West, there's another change that really caught my attention: Rachel may actually add moisture to the developing winter storm, and the National Weather Service in Billings now has high confidence that parts of the northern Rockies will see their first heavy snow of the season.
