I Left It There — LV_38 A story about attachment, stubbornness, a broken motorcycle, and one very long night. Twelve kilometres from home, an old MZ that refuses to start. He gets a ride back and leaves it behind, telling himself it'll be fine until morning. It should have ended there. But every time he closes his eyes, he sees the same bike sitting beneath those lights. So he gets dressed and walks back. Then he leaves it again. Then goes back again. Some things can be perfectly safe and still feel wrong when they're somewhere they don't belong. “Twelve kilometres isn't far when there's an engine underneath.” Sometimes peace isn't getting home.
