The Strangest Business Class Ever? That’s what I was thinking as I lay back in Air New Zealand’s unique herringbone seat on Flight NZ284 from Auckland to Singapore. This is Business Premier on the Boeing 777-300ER, and it’s one of the most unusual business class setups I’ve ever flown. But you know what I’m really here for, the food, and to get to my next destination of corse. In this video, I take you through the full Air New Zealand Business Class experience, starting with a visit to the Koru Lounge in Auckland, where I try a classic Kiwi dish before the flight even takes off. Then it’s time to board and get settled into my seat in 12K, where the meal service begins soon after takeoff. From entrées to dessert, Air New Zealand delivered some real surprises. Dinner was genuinely tasty, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The star of the show? That next-level ice cream, easily one of the best desserts I’ve had on a flight. The Air New Zealand Business Premier service was also top-tier. The crew were attentive, the meals were delivered with care, and they checked in regularly to make sure everything was sweet. While the seat layout was a bit different from what you might expect, it was still comfortable with a full lie-flat bed and memory foam mattress. Air New Zealand is also rolling out an updated Business Premier cabin with more privacy, which I’ll definitely be checking out in a future video.
