The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) - Part 2 - Great Grandma Reacts - First Time Watching

Hi everyone, thank you for watching! This time I'm watching The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) for the very first time, and I have to say it felt absolutely wonderful to be back in Middle-earth again! One of the biggest surprises for me was just how funny this film was. I found myself laughing far more than I expected, especially whenever the Dwarves were causing chaos. They often seemed more like a group of mischievous children than mighty warriors, but I mean that in the nicest possible way. They drove me mad at times, but they certainly kept me entertained! Bilbo was easily one of my favourite parts of the film. I loved watching him go from wanting nothing more than a quiet life at home to finding himself caught up in such an extraordinary adventure. The Shire felt just as magical and comforting as I remembered from The Lord of the Rings, and honestly, I was overjoyed to see it again. Seeing Gollum was another emotional moment for me. Knowing what happens to him later in the story made me feel quite sad during his scenes. Even though this takes place earlier, I couldn't help thinking about the difficult path that lies ahead for him. His encounter with Bilbo was fascinating to watch, and once again I found myself feeling sympathy for him despite everything. As for the Orcs, I absolutely hated them! Especially Azog. Every time he appeared on screen I found myself hoping someone would finally put a stop to him. He made for a very intimidating villain and certainly kept the tension high throughout the adventure. I also continue to be amazed by the scale of these films. The scenery, the creatures, the costumes, and the effects all looked incredible. I honestly can't imagine how much work must have gone into creating a world like this. And now there is a dragon waiting at the end of the journey! After everything that happened in this film, I can't wait to find out what happens next and finally meet the creature everyone seems so worried about. This was such a fun adventure, and I'm very excited to continue the journey with the next film.
