Women At The Centre of Transitional Justice

Although conflict affects everyone, it's not always measured out equally. Women and girls often face intensified violence, displacement, economic hardship, and the burden of rebuilding families and getting back into communities in the aftermath of a crisis. In Episode 8 of #AUTJP101, we explore how the African Union Transitional Justice Policy addresses the realities faced by women and girls, and why survivor-centred support, inclusion, and protection are essential to meaningful justice. #AUTJP101 #gbv #conflict #survivors #transitionaljustice
