Have you ever thought of a novel as a dataset, or the individual words in a text as data units? And why might you want to do that? In this video, I introduce us to a new way of thinking about textual analysis as data analysis, where we get a Large Language Model (LLM) to scan a long narrative text for word frequency, syntactical shifts, narrative changes etc. so that we can engage with a novel 'as a whole' much better - and much quicker. Intrigued? Watch on to find out how this could massively help change the way you revise for longer narrative texts like short stories, novels, epic poems etc!
