Walked Off the Quarterdeck

"Walked Off the Quarterdeck" — Official Audio "Walked off the quarterdeck with empty hands, no orders waiting for far away lands. Hanging up the cover, tucking the blues away, civilian world starting on a quiet Tuesday." There is an unspoken heartache in being medically separated when your heart is still on the line. "Walked Off the Quarterdeck" tells the story of watching your detachment stage and deploy without you—swallowing your own grief, cracking jokes, and putting on a brave face at the airport gate so your brothers can fly into the fight without worrying about you. It captures the deafening silence of turning in the badge, walking out to an empty parking lot with only paperwork in hand, and waking up thirty days later on Middle Eastern time with no muster to make and nowhere left to run.
