I’ve wanted to build my own polyphonic synthesizer since I started making ambient music in 2012. In this video, I introduce TRANQUILITY, share the ideas behind it, and explore what it can bring to your music. TRANQUILITY combines analog, wavetable, and sample synthesis with expressive modulation, note and chord sequencing, and a full effects rack featuring Glow Reverb and tuned Shimmer. The Play Field lets you reshape eight macros with a single movement, opening up different ways to perform a patch. From spacious pads and evolving atmospheres to delicate plucks and intricate sequences, I built it to be an instrument you can keep coming back to.
