Pallet Forks - Unboxing, Setup, First Use & Initial Impressions of Good Works Tractors Versaforks

This video shows the unboxing, setup, and first use of Good Works Tractors Versaforks on a Ford 1700 compact tractor with Ford 770 loader. The loader has been previously converted from pin-on to skid steer quick attach (video here: ). I purchased 36” fork tines with the frame, the shortest available. This reduces the length of the tractor and forks (which helps maneuverability), and reduces weight on the loader, allowing more lift capacity to be used for lifting objects. Since I will primarily be lifting lumber and logs, the extra fork tine length from 42” or 48” long fork tines isn’t necessary. The Versaforks frame is a nice setup with the trailer hitch receiver and chain hooks. The drawback is the forks are barely level or even angled down when the loader is lowered all the way down based on the geometry of the loader and connection to the fork frame. Visibility is much improved over clamp-on forks on the bucket, as is the wear and tear that clamp-on forks otherwise cause on the bucket by stressing the bucket edge. *I have no affiliation with Good Works Tractors and purchased the Versaforks myself based on the features included with the frame (hitch receiver, chain hooks, ability to mount on 3 point hitch in addition to loader).
