As caregivers, it's easy to focus on what has been lost. But what happens when we intentionally look at what remains? In this reflection, I share a lesson God has been teaching me through my caregiving journey with Mommy. Instead of dwelling on the abilities that dementia has taken away, I found myself grateful for the things she can still do. This isn't about denying reality. It's about embracing gratitude, finding hope, and trusting God to work through what seems impossible. If you're caring for a loved one and sometimes struggle to see beyond the losses, I pray this message encourages you to look at the glass differently. What is something your loved one can still do that brings you joy? Share it in the comments below.
