Varanasi was never in the plan. I left Bangalore for the North East — Arunachal, Tawang, Mechuka. The route was along the coast: Ongole, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, Kharagpur, Siliguri. One day before I set off, Cyclone Arnab turned towards that coast — on exactly the days I'd have been riding it. So I re-routed. Hyderabad, Nagpur, Jabalpur, straight through central India. And on that new road, right in front of me, was a name. Varanasi. The one place I'd always said I'd see once in my life. Three days. 1,800 kilometres. Five states. And then, at 4 in the morning, I was sitting on the steps of Assi Ghat. This is that day. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏍️ THE ROUTE Bangalore → Hyderabad → Nagpur → Jabalpur → Rewa → Mirzapur → Varanasi 1,800 km · 3 days · 5 states 🛵 THE BIKE Hero Xpulse 200 4V 🎥 GEAR DJI Osmo Action 4 (helmet mounted) vivo X200 Pro (handheld) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📍 NEXT EPISODE A detour from Siliguri — and Darjeeling, which wasn't in the plan either.
