Lionsgate has confirmed that Michael 2 could hit theaters as early as late 2027, with production aiming to begin in late 2026 or early 2027. The King of Pop's nephew, Jaafar Jackson, reprises his critically acclaimed role as Michael Jackson. Joining him is Hollywood's rising star Laura Harrier in a key supporting role. The ensemble also includes Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Miles Teller, and Kat Graham. The sequel will pick up where the first film left off—at the start of the Bad tour—and is expected to explore the Dangerous era and Michael's legal battles.
