Inspired by Himmel's blue flower, Blue Moon Weed, here, I made a flower origami with blue tips and white in the middle.
The Blue Moon Weeds are also inspired by real-life flowers actually. Its name is Nemophila or Baby Blue Eyes. Another says it is similar to Morning Glory, but I prefer Baby Blue Eyes. They both have gradient blue petals, darker at the tips and lighter in the center. The difference is in the pistils. Baby Blue Eyes can be recognized by its black dots in the middle, but Blue Moon Weeds have bigger pistils and light blue in colors.
Material used:
double-sided colored paper to make the flower. I used baby blue and white. 10x10 in size for one flower.
for the yellow filament in the center, I just dab it with a marker, also for the blue pistil.
a pair of scissors to cut square paper into a pentagon.
To make the origami flower with 5 petals, usually we start with a pentagonal shaped paper. So I will show you how to make a perfect pentagon shape from a square paper beforehand.
