Study AI & IT in the USA as an International Student with Day 1 CPT | Alliant University

Thinking about studying AI or information technology in the USA as an international student? Alliant University professor Dr. Dexter Francis shows you what his classes are really like. Dr. Francis has taught at Alliant for seven years at the San Diego campus and the Los Angeles campus in Alhambra. He's the first American in his family, with roots in Trinidad and Tobago, and his classrooms are full of students from different countries and cultures. He teaches databases, software development, AI, and IT courses connected to business. Most of his classes are built on hands-on group projects, so international students get real practice working on a team, splitting up responsibilities, and delivering on a deadline. That's the kind of experience U.S. employers look for. If you get stuck on an assignment, he'll jump on Zoom with you or answer your email, and everything runs through Canvas so it's easy to stay organized. He also explains why AI prompting is becoming a must-have career skill and shares his advice for students choosing their next step. 🌎 Studying in the U.S. on an F-1 visa?
