Like Father, Like Son - Jerry Berenguer | October 4, 2026

“Empowering Lives To Impact Our World” Champion Life Centre-Scarborough Sunday Celebration Sermon – October 4, 2026 Preacher: Jerry Berenguer Message Title: Like Father, Like Son Message Text: Romans 8:14 NKJV 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. JESUS, The True Son Isaiah 9:6 NIV 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Matthew 3:17 NIV 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Hebrews 12:8 NIV 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. THE HEART OF SONS 1. Sons carry the DNA of the Father 1 Corinthians 4:17 NIV 17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church. 2. Sons Know the Authority of the Kingdom 3. Sons Represent and Reflect John 5:19 NIV 19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. John 14:7 NIV 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Philippians 2:19-22 NIV Timothy and Epaphroditus 19 I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I receive news about you. 20 I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare. 21 For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. 22 But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel. 4. Sons Reproduce Matthew 4:19 NIV 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 2 Timothy 2:2 NIV 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. 5. Sons Become Fathers John 20:21 NIV 21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” Recorded via Live Stream from CLC-Scarborough, October 4, 2026 New to Champion Life Centre? We’d love to connect with you!
