Travel Doc: YASMINE HAMMAMET, Best BEACH TOWN in TUNISIA with CARTHAGELAND and the CARNAVAL

Dubbed the St Tropez of Tunisia, Hammamet is the main resort town in Tunisia. This vibrant and Popular Tunisian resort is located on the Medditerean sea in Northeastern part of the Country. There are two main sections of Hammamet, these being Hammamet the original old city and the much newer Yasmine Hammamet. Hammamet is where you can find historical attractions such as the Hammamet Kasbah, old Medina walls, souk, and cemetery. Yasmine Hammamet is an area designed for tourists. There are big hotels and resorts here. There is also a fake medina designed in the traditional style of a medina with casinos, shopping malls, hotels, and shops. An avenue of life-sized elephant statues leads up to the medina. Carthage Land is also here – it’s a theme park and mini-zoo that’s popular with kids. The Blue Flag beach here is definitely the town’s main attraction. Golden sand slopes into sparkling waters, and there are sunloungers and umbrellas for hire.
