Show me the way (composition)

C'est une chanson que j'ai écrite il y a quelques temps pour une bénévole de la médiathèque où j'ai moi aussi longtemps été bénévole (ma petite Sylvie, si tu passes par là 😜). Elle s'appelle Show me the way. En voilà les paroles : Parce que le vent n'efface rien Que je te regarde dans les yeux Le temps, ça va, ça vient Et les souvenirs deviennent vieux Sur fond d'un arbre en fleurs Toute seule dans ma voiture J'essaie de ne pas avoir peur De ne pas penser au futur For the greater plays That are waiting on me Dear life, show me the way And tell me who to be Tell me who to be Il y a mon passé à côté Et ce que je ne serai plus Ce que pendant longtemps j'ai été Derrière celle que je suis devenue Et on sait que c'est comme ça Qu'on le veuille ou non Que la vie changera Même en avançant à reculons For the greater plays That are waiting on me Dear life, show me the way And tell me who to be Tell me who to be Et puis Adele qui me chante De m'accrocher, d'être forte De tenir bon, d'être patiente De savoir ouvrir les portes J'ai un chemin à parcourir Qui m'emmènera loin de toi Mais quand je devrai partir Je repenserai un peu à tout ça For the greater plays That are waiting on me Dear life, show me the way And tell me who to be Tell me who to be Tell me who to be For the greater plays That are waiting on me Dear life, show me the way And tell me who to be Tell me who to be Tell me who to be For the greater plays That are waiting on me Dear life, show me the way And tell me who to be Tell me who to be
