How to calculate Moisture Content for Concrete Mix Design

This video demonstrates how to calculate moisture absorption into fine and coarse aggregates for Concrete Mix Design using Saturated Surface Dry ( SSD). Due to the water absorption into the aggregates, the initial batch weights of aggregates and water have to be adjusted or corrected to account for the absorption. If corrections to your batch weights is not adjusted for water/moisture absorption then the consistency and the workability of the concrete will be compromised.
