hello! It's been 9 months since I uploaded anything other than shorts, but everything good must come to an end. For the next 7 months I will upload monthly and post short comics about these characters on my other platforms. Finally a video I promised a long time ago about Cuckoohiss, Sablewren's sister, and why the barn cats were kicked out of the forest. Once a beloved mother's daughter and a future healer, Cuckoohiss always wished for more - for freedom, and didn't hesitate to take what (she thought) was hers, even though her methods affected her close ones in the worst way possible. Don't let this lady's actions fool you: Cuckoohiss still loves her family, she just loves herself a little bit more. Also I always thought that the concept of witch-like healers is fun. So meet my girl Cuckoohiss who's probably would be very into ouija boards and alchemy. This video went through a lot (you can see bits of 2024 version in the end) as I remade it almost from scratch. I didn't like the previous version, everything about it just felt so bad. Plot explanation: Cuckoohiss is the daughter of Whipsnake and Albatrosscall, and sister of Sablewren - the future leader. She has spent her entire life dreaming of freedom and seeing the world - a dream her brother actually lived out when he set sail on a ship. In his absence, Cuckoohiss decides to dabble in questionable practices, stepping into the role of a local witch, much like her mother before her. Upon Sablewren's return, Cuckoohiss resolves to act and finally achieve her dream, though certainly not alone. She orchestrates a spread of rumors, forcing Albatrosscall to uncover his kits' secret activities. He denounces them for their shameful behavior—especially since Sablewren was already in disgrace after abandoning his duties. As a result, the siblings, along with their friend and mentor, are sent on a hopeless mission. Following a devastating fire, Cuckoohiss strikes a deal with Gooseberry, the co-leader of Boundless Folk. However, instead of helping, she merely stalls for time to secure a safe home for her clanmates. When her apprentice, Thorncatch, uncovers the truth, he exposes her to Firewatcher, leading to their exile. By then, however, Cuckoohiss has already contracted the sickness. my fav moments are Sablewren doing nothing about Boar (this guy is useless) and Thorn being the best friend possible. I love these two anyway. A short notice: almost every upcoming main video (not the shorts) will be an animatic, and not the lineless one. I want this story to be over considering the feedback.
