GIULIA MERCURY IN MOTION

Painted entirely in silver, Giulia jumps in the studio and moves through a monumental cube as if her body were made of liquid mercury. Within the perfect geometry of the circle, she bends, stretches and flows, transforming every line of her body into something fluid and impossible to hold. In the film, Giulia also speaks in her own words, sharing her experience of working with Guido Argentini and revealing something of the discipline and artistry behind her movement. A gymnast and dancer, she brings to the performance an extraordinary combination of strength, flexibility, control and fluidity. The rigid architecture surrounds her, yet nothing remains still. Silver becomes liquid. The body becomes sculpture. Movement becomes a language of its own.
