Domingo Cayosa said Vice President Sara Duterte’s defense team should have anticipated the possibility of withdrawn impeachment articles after rejecting a proposal for the defense to present its evidence following the prosecution’s presentation on each article. He added that the defense had already been given the opportunity to answer the impeachment complaint but relied on general denials rather than addressing the allegations point by point.
