Creativity, Heart & AI – The Changing Art of Filmmaking

In this episode of Wild Rivers Film Radio, host Robert Naugle sits down with filmmaker and screenwriter Michael Ferrara to explore the creative journey behind his short film The 18th Hole and his screenplays The Last Patient and Samedi. Their conversation moves beyond the stories themselves to examine the evolving craft of filmmaking—where inspiration comes from, how writers bring heart and humanity to their work, and the emerging role of artificial intelligence in the creative process. Together, Robert and Michael consider an intriguing question for today’s filmmakers: How can new technologies like AI expand creative possibilities while preserving the distinctly human heart of storytelling?
