So… Volo is pretty good huh? Needless to say, he’s by far the best Ghost enabler in the game and it’s not even close! -2 Rebuff and EX Ghost Zone is more than enough to make any Ghost DPS look good. That all being said, Volo isn’t just about helping other Ghosts units. He himself can hit insane numbers, most of the time stealing the spotlight from the Ghost units he’s enabling lol. Volo’s damage is insane and his constant self-applied P/SMUN makes him even crazier. Funnily, his damage is so high that most times his Flinch/Trap/Confuse passive is just irrelevant outside of long-form content lol. One annoying thing about him is that his extra rebuff does mean he has to hog a sync, but his damage (plus the damage he enables) more than makes up for it. People already know how broken he is with his UB track record already being humongous, so I’ll focus on CS and LG clears here (plus, I don’t like UBs so there’s that too). Overall, Volo is very powerful and a necessity for Ghost meta. Even without other Ghosts though, he pulls out very good damage and will be very useful for more difficult content! Enjoy! —————————————————- 0:00 Why do I only pity my favorites nowadays, man? 1:33 Solo DPS Overkill Volo is more than capable of clearing stages by himself. He can definitely solo CS as well, but I don’t like to do that and prefer to show units like Volo doing as much damage as possible instead. Gym Fantina provided teamwide Ghost move multiplier and buffed Volo’s Master Passive + her SEUN on TM made for some funny numbers. 4:08 Enabling Ghosts This is where Volo excels in best. Volo’s pure Ghost Support is insane and comparable to the last few Arc Suits we’ve gotten. Even very old units like Anni. Lillie can hit numbers on-par with modern units thanks to these insane damage enhancements. Marley buffed Volo’s Master Passive, along with fixing Lillie’s mediocre gauge. 6:36 Sinnoh Gaming I couldn’t make a video like this and NOT use both Giratina units on the same team! Plus, her Ghost Wish can help extend EX Zone for longer battles! Buffing Volo’s Master Passive is definitely not necessary for him to do good damage, but he still more than appreciates having units that have the Sinnoh skill to correlate with his passive. Although I never showed it in this video, the fact you can run several mono-Sinnoh Ghost teams with this guy is crazy to me! 8:56 Buffing EX Strike Sync Unsurprisingly, Volo can still enhance Ghost types to super high numbers even without the extra rebuff on his sync! BP Flint provided Morty with most of his necessary buffs, while Volo also provided a denial that ultimately ended up with the battle ending before Agatha could make a second move lol. 11:07 Off-Type + More Master Passive Boosting If it wasn’t obvious from the previous clears, Volo can Off-Type without much hassle. In later CS regions this probably would’ve been a little more difficult but Volo can still clear them pretty easily. SC Irida is my best Ghost damage dealer as of recording, so I decided to bring her here. I didn’t even intend to max Volo’s master passive, but SS Dawn just worked here since she provided defense buffs and some SMUN for Irida. 13:40 Gauntlet Solo Volo has a VERY good track record for Gauntlet, being able to solo many stages at just 1/5! I figured I’d show off at least one solo since it’ll be what he’s mostly used for. Volo’s mix of raw damage and innate Ruthless in one of his passives makes him a monster for LG! Of course, there are some stages not as susceptible to flinch but many stages can be cheesed by spamming Shadow Ball and using Shadow Force when necessary. 15:21 On-Type Gauntlet Duo Guess we’re bullying the Lake Spirits today lol. While Volo can solo many LG stages at 1/5, there are some that are somewhat luck dependent or require good Skill Gear to get consistently. So, for stages like Uxie, I decided to bring a filler Eggmon since I was barely unable to get the solo. I specifically brought Scorbunny for Potion since I was barely reaching the end and died due to low HP (though the extra Speed was helpful too). The key for this stage is to preserve PMUN in the first bar as much as possible to completely skip the second Bar with B Move. After that, it’s pretty much brute forcing until you get the clear. —————————————————-
