2026 Dacia Sandero Stepway Extreme - Europe's Best-Seller Gets Tough

2026 Dacia Sandero Stepway Extreme TCe 110: the toughened-up crossover version of Europe's best-selling car, number one in 2024 and again in 2025, filmed at a Swiss Dacia dealer. The facelift brings a new grille lined with pixel-style white blocks, an LED strip along the top of each headlamp, upright tail lights joined by a matt black striped panel, and modular roof bars that unclip and turn into crossbars. The Extreme trim adds copper brown details: satin copper mirror caps, 16-inch black alloys with copper centre caps, and copper piping and stitching on the seats, plus a topographic map graphic behind the front wheel. Dacia says the arch cladding is 20% recycled plastic. Under the bonnet is a 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder with 110 hp (110 PS) and 200 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual: 0-100 km/h in 10.0 seconds and 5.6-5.7 l/100 km (WLTP). That is 15 hp more than the entry VW T-Cross, and in Germany the Stepway Extreme TCe 110 lists at EUR 17,490, about EUR 7,500 under the cheapest T-Cross (EUR 24,960). The car in the video carries a Swiss base price of CHF 18,390, or CHF 20,770 as shown with the Navi pack (navigation, wireless charging, upgraded sound), the Winter pack (heated front seats and steering wheel) and metallic paint. The one catch: the only Euro NCAP rating on file for the Sandero Stepway is two stars from 2021, before this facelift's emergency braking learned to watch for cyclists and motorbikes.
