Title: Yaake Mooka Naadyo Ragam: Jhaunpuri Talam: Chathurashra Eka Composer: Jagannatha Dasaru (Jagannatha Vittala) Yaake Mookanadyo is a Kannada Dasara pada by Jagannatha Dasaru, addressed to Guru Raghavendra Swamy. The poet asks, “Why have you become silent, O Guru?” He remembers how Rayaru once walked before him and held his hand, and now feels abandoned. He says there is no compassion like the Guru’s and no helpless one like himself, and asks who will protect him if Rayaru turns away. The song ends with the ankita Jagannatha Vittala, calling himself the Lord’s orphaned servant. It is a cry of longing after the Guru’s voice seemed to fall quiet.
