IELTS Writing Assessment Cohesion & Coherence

The IELTS writing test is scored according to four criteria. In this video, we look specifically at the Cohesion & Coherence criterion as it applies to a student sample essay. The Cohesion & Coherence criterion assesses whether your body paragraphs have a clear topic sentence, whether you effectively connected sentences and ideas with transition markers or other tools, whether you have redundancies or wordiness, and other factors.
