Passenger & autoballaster movements @ Cahir & Clonmel (19-8-2013)

Firstly, east of Cahir, Co. Tipperary at Lisnamuck, the distant signal for Nicholastown level xing is lowered & a 22000 class DMU set headed by no. 22250 passes on a Limerick Junction to Waterford service. At Cahir station, GM class leader 071 is seen hauling a set of autoballasters (or HOBs (High Output Ballasters)) to Clonmel from Limerick Junction. At Clonmel, 071 runs around it's train and backs into the goods siding. Loading then commences in the freight yard which takes approx. an hour. Once clearance is received, the HOBs depart for Tipperary. Ballast will be layed en route. Monday 19th August 2013.
