South Africa Weather for Today & Tomorrow Update South Africans can expect a scorching weekend ahead, as a strong upper-level high-pressure system keeps temperatures soaring across most regions, with the western parts of the country experiencing particularly intense heat through Saturday. Residents are advised to take precautions against heat-related illnesses and to be mindful of increased veld fire risk in dry areas. Relief from the oppressive heat is on the way, though, as a cold front is set to sweep across the nation, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures and cooler, more comfortable conditions in several areas. While Friday will remain mostly dry, the chance of rain increases into Saturday, with widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms forecast for Sunday, especially over the interior and eastern provinces. This change will offer welcome respite from the heat, but may also bring sudden downpours and gusty winds in some regions as the new weather system takes hold. Where are you watching from?
