People double track parts all the time. Well, how often do you double track on a regular guitar and a 'High String' guitar? It opens up a whole new world. You can literally just put a set of High String strings (link below) on any acoustic and turn it into the upper octave half of a 12-string. In this video, I record a part on a regular guitar and the same part on a High String. Pan them in the same spot for a regular 12-string sound. Pan them R and L for a giant STEREO 12 string sound. Or, use the High String by itself to add a "shimmery shaker" part to your choruses. Or create a cool arpeggiated part like "Hey You" by Pink Floyd. Works on acoustic or electric.. Enjoy!
