A few food stalls, some live music, and a relaxing evening walk. Apparently, Parramatta had other plans! 😲 By 9PM, it honestly felt like the whole of Sydney had turned up here! 😂 Welcome to Parramatta Lanes 2026, where the streets come alive with music, food, art and an incredible mix of cultures! Join me for a 33-minute 4K walk through one of Sydney's most unexpectedly lively nights! 🎶 Different streets, different music! Crossing the street felt like changing radio stations. No app required! ✨ Different lights, different vibes! Every corner had its own personality. It felt like several festivals sharing the same postcode! 🍜 Food from around the world! Entry was free. Unfortunately, nobody told my appetite. 😂 🌏 One city, so many cultures! Families, young people, older generations and people from all kinds of backgrounds enjoying the same streets together. It felt wonderfully natural and welcoming. And somehow, despite the crowds, the different festival areas felt surprisingly well organised. But here's what got me thinking… Why do some parts of Sydney feel so quiet after dark, while Parramatta can bring so many people together for one incredible night? Of course, a festival night isn't an ordinary night. But perhaps a city needs more than just longer opening hours. It needs a reason for people to come together.
