By completing A Bridge Too Far on Impossible difficulty, with the challenge active, you can unlock the achievements, Military Bridge, and A Bridge Too Many. Military Bridge - Eliminate the little black ant colony on the second night then beat the mission. (challenge) A Bridge Too Many - Build 15 completed bridges then beat the mission. (impossible - challenge) This is old footage from testing. The achievement for the public has been reduced from all bridges, to just 15. =================================== Tips: Soldiers are worth 1.5 points to the objective, workers are worth 1 point. Vigorous is the superior option. The speed buff will prove useful in getting around the big map. The resistance buffs and damage buffs also help in dealing with the numerous large enemies. You will want something from around 120-150 soldiers. All the soldiers will be level 1. Upgrading ants is not as useful on this level, since it takes some food away from making mass numbers to win faster. After you make those soldiers, worker spam is the best course of action. Workers are much cheaper than soldiers and worth more points once you get their numbers going. On the later days, make sure to attack the enemies that wash on. Their numbers get more intense and more powerful enemies spawn later on. It will be wise to dwindle their numbers down. Aphids are not needed on this. It will still be wise to collect them for passive food income. The little black ant can be invaded on night 2. Kill the 3 newts that spawn before bridging across to their colony. Kill them and gather what food you can get as fast as possible. There are tons of food in your underground. Gather as much for a massive boost for when you go outside. The Great Blue Skimmer is an optional boss. It doesn't drop much and will cost many casualties if not careful. Can be ignored and will fly away if left untouched. DO NOT upgrade ant fire ants. This level will require mass numbers. It is better overall with numbers then upgraded fire ant soldiers for the 2 soldiers at level 3. Achievement: This is one of the tricker achievements. Would highly use vigorous for the speed buff to get around the map. During the time, before the water rises and a bit after, the fishing spiders will disappear for a moment. Use that time to quickly bridge across an area and fall back. Amphibians will fight against the fishing spiders, you can lure the frogs and newts to fight the spiders if needed. To get Military Bridge with A Bridge Too Many requires a bit of rng. If too many fishing spiders spawn on the bridge to the LBA on night 2, it will be too costly to bridge across safely. It would be wise to leave them alone afterwards. Use multiple markers of soldiers to cover more areas for bridging when needed. Store a ton of food when making bridges, fishing spiders or flooding will be some of your biggest food drainers. =================================== Timestamps: 0:00 - Day 1 9:01 - Night 1 15:32 - Day 2 23:46 - Night 2 (Little Black Ant raid) 30:17 - Day 3 38:35 - Night 3 45:03 Day 4 50:26 Final bridge and rush to mound =================================== Empires of the Undergrowth is an ant colony management game, in a fast-paced real-time strategy style.
