Why I Still Play Pokémon GO

Source: https://www.podbean.com/eau/pb-gu7f3-... Pokémon GO has been around for 10 years—and somehow, I’m still playing. But the reasons I play today are very different from why I fell in love with Pokémon as a kid. In this episode of The Bearded Nerd, I talk about growing up with Pokémon alongside my brother, the simplicity that makes Pokémon GO work so well for me as a busy adult, the local community I’ve found through the game, and how Pokémon has become connected to everything from exercise and travel to memories with my own kids. Because growing up doesn't necessarily mean leaving the things you loved behind. You grew up. Your hobbies didn't have to. If you’re an adult who still makes time for Pokémon, gaming, TTRPGs, collecting, anime, or whatever nerdy hobby you love, welcome to The Bearded Nerd. Question for you: Why do you still play Pokémon GO—or what hobby from your childhood have you never really left behind?
