"Vexilla Regis" - by the Norbertines of St. Michael's Abbey

During the Last two weeks of lent we focus on the passion of Christ. This is why the Church refers to this time as "passiontide." At the beginning of Vespers in this season, we start with this hymn "Vexilla Regis," "The royal banners forward go." The banner, of course, being Christ crucified.
