Book: Oceans of Venus by Isaac Asimov First published 1954, USA Lucky Starr and the Oceans of Venus, the third novel in Isaac Asimov’s Lucky Starr series (published in 1954 under the pseudonym Paul French), follows protagonist David "Lucky" Starr and his sidekick Bigman Jones to Venus. At the time of writing, Venus was believed to be a water world covered by a global ocean, where humans live in underwater domed cities like Aphrodite.
