Ten Frames No.106 Dance Skating

"Ten Frames" is a series of video/slideshow shorts on a singular theme. The theme for this one is "Dance Skating." When the inline skating phenomenon burst into popular culture, I went in as a willing participant. A below average skater on quads, I believed inline was going to be different. Inline road & speed skating wasn’t my goal. Dance skating was. I spent countless hours learning to dance skate on inlines. With wheel rockering to improve mobility. After a few months in Prospect Park, I felt ready to move up to the major leagues—the Central Park Skate Circle. In spending more than a decade skating at Central Park, here’s just a smidgen of those year in photographs. More than ten frames were needed to showcase the vibes. So here are twenty! Photographs: 1999 thru 2009 (best viewed on largest screen possible) Dance skate family, if you’d be so kind to share video with others from the community. It's greatly appreciated!
