This is my version of “Bahar,” originally written and performed by Replikas. I was never brave enough to cover a song by Replikas — one of the most important musical influences in my life. I wish I had been, before we lost Gökçe Akçelik. I sang this for him — for the sorrow and beauty that still lives on in this song, not knowing at the time that it carried his own sorrow for a loss. I never knew him, yet it’s still hard for me to even watch this video. I want to thank Barkın and Burak for allowing me to do this.
