Brentford Great West Road Jummah 🇫‌🇷‌🇮‌🇩‌🇦‌🇾‌ J U M M A H Khutbah delivered by Br Muhammed Salih on Friday 11th September 2026. | Allah Is Ever Watching | Two powerful teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that summarise the foundations of Islam and reliance upon Allah. The first is the famous Hadith of Jibril, in which Angel Jibril عليه السلام came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked about Islam, Iman and Ihsan. The Prophet ﷺ explained the pillars of Islam, the articles of faith, excellence in worship, and some of the signs of the Day of Judgement. He later explained that Jibril had come to teach the people their religion. The second hadith contains the Prophet’s ﷺ advice to Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه: safeguard the commands of Allah, rely upon Him alone, ask Him for help, and know that whatever benefit or harm reaches you can only occur by Allah’s decree. An important lesson from these teachings is to remain conscious that Allah is ever watchful over us and fully aware of all His creation at all times. Therefore, a Muslim should be mindful of Allah in every action and every dealing, whether in public or in private, even when no other human being is watching. This awareness is at the heart of Ihsan: to worship Allah knowing that although we do not see Him, He sees us.
