Suman recalls her childhood in Delhi, where her father's work in audiovisual programs sparked her early love for acting, classical Kathak dance, and theater. She reflects candidly on the "settlement phase" of migrating to Australia in the 1980s, where creative passions had to be temporarily paused for the daily grind of survival. Now in her retirement phase, Suman has beautifully re-entered the craft, transitioning from ephemeral stage plays to screen acting. She shares actionable advice for upcoming artists on using social media, volunteering backstage, and creating one's own opportunities.
