Pocono 500 - Full Race - 1989 CART Round 11 - Indycar Racing II

The third round of the Triple Crown brings us to Pocono Raceway. The triangle-shaped track may be the biggest test yet for young Ryan. With a decent lead over Michael Andretti in the points, the focus for the 3rd 500 miler of the season will be on winning the triple crown. Indianapolis and Michigan both required patience and luck, and Pocono will require much of the same. With lap speeds of over 210 mph and 3 different corners, drivers will be busy making adjustments throughout the run to keep on top of the handling. Anything can happen over 500 miles, will Axelson conquer one of Indycar's biggest challenges? This is a full-distance “Hardcore” season. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. Very much looking forward to the 15 rounds ahead in one of my favorite sims of all time!
