A sufi nasheed about trust in Allah when the road feels dark and heavy.
Ney and oud lead a slow prayer of surrender: patience through hardship, gratitude in the quiet, and a heart that keeps holding on.

A thousand thorns may pierce my heart,
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
And blood consume me, every part,
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
If I should fall, as Yusuf fell,
Should I for years stay in the dark,
Should patience turn to wisdom's way —
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
Should they exile me far away,
Should they chain me in dungeons deep,
Should I cry out from that dark cell —
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
Like Bilal, lying in the sand,
A boulder pressing on my chest,
With "Ahad" ever on my tongue —
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
Though bone by bone I should be crushed,
Though my ashes should fill the sky,
Should I dissolve to dust and earth —
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
One day I know that I will die,
Black earth shall be my resting place,
And when the grave's own questions come —
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
One day the Mahshar will arrive,
And I will give my own account,
While crossing Sirat's edge, one breath —
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
I chose this path with joy, from start,
I count my death as pure union,
From this first breath to my last breath —
Still I will say: my Lord is One.
