Tutorial: Programming remote or remotes to 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally

Do this at your own risk! I only did this because I wanted to save money. You can probably get a remote through the dealer for around $150-160. Use jumper wire similar to the one I have made to connect pin 1 and 4, and then press hazards 6 times within 10 seconds of connecting The locks will move on their own and you hit the unlock button 3 times on all remotes you want to program then remove the wire and key. Done. TAKE NOTE: The slim box next to the fuse box in the lancer's engine bay does contain a relay which is labeled on the lid of the slim relay box that appears to be a silhouette of a car with a key inside of it. This would imply a key inside of a car or perhaps keyless entry. One of the viewers to this video has got through all the steps including the car locking and unlocking to tell that the remote was programmed and it still does not work, but that is with no relay in the B spot. I would have to say that this relay in the "B" spot in the slimmer box next to the fuse box may be needed for the car to be listening for the remote when not in programming mode, but I cannot say for sure until I hear back from them. It would only make sense as the car would have to direct some voltage to the antenna module while the ignition is off, hence the relay.
