[guitar intro] Verse 1 Once we walked as strangers, blind beneath the night. The Father has delivered us into the kingdom of His light. He rescued us from darkness, redemption through His Son, forgiveness bought with blood now— a battle He has won. [guitar solo] Verse 2 He is the image of the Father, the God we cannot see. The firstborn over all creation, before eternity. By Him were all things fashioned, the heavens and the earth, every throne and every power— all of it took its birth. [guitar solo] Verse 3 Before all things He was standing, and in Him all things hold. He is the head, the body follows, the story still unfolds. The firstborn from the graveyard, the first to rise and live, that in all things, in every matter, He alone the glory gives. Chorus All the fullness dwells within Him, not a fragment, but the whole. Glory that no throne can measure, filling heaven, filling soul. Let creation bow before Him. Let the ages sing His name. He is worthy, He is holy— evermore, and still the same. [guitar solo] Verse 4 This is the mystery hidden, now revealed for all to know. Christ in us, the hope of glory, planted deep so we may grow. Not a distant, far off wonder, but a presence close at hand— glory living in the ordinary, glory taking up its stand. Bridge Strengthened with His glorious power, might that patience cannot spend. Laboring and striving with Him, all His energy till the end. This is the power at work within us, not our effort, but His own. Glory working, glory moving— Christ enthroned, and Christ alone. Chorus All the fullness dwells within Him, not a fragment, but the whole. Glory that no throne can measure, filling heaven, filling soul. Let creation bow before Him. Let the ages sing His name. He is worthy, He is holy— evermore, and still the same. [guitar solo] Chorus (final — hold the last line) All the fullness dwells within Him, not a fragment, but the whole. Glory that no throne can measure, filling heaven, filling soul. Let creation bow before Him. Let the ages sing His name. He is worthy, He is holy— evermore, and still the same.
