A raw, authentic piece of spoken word storytelling and acoustic worship that blends biblical truth with backwoods reality. Moving from the cautionary tales of Matthew 26:52 and Galatians 6:7, through the gritty story of an "ol' boy named Clay," to a powerful, unfiltered call to faith, this track strips away all the noise. With no heavy production or complex beats, it’s just a raw voice, an honest heart, and a message of unconditional grace, love, and salvation. If this message touched your heart or gave you a feeling you've never felt before, please like, comment, and subscribe to share the word. 🎵 Stream/Download Lyrics: If You live by the sword, Then You'll die by the sword You will reap what you sow In the Good Book of Matthew 26:52 When armed guards came to arrest Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, his disciple Peter drew a sword and cut off the ear of the high priest's servant. Jesus stopped Peter, healed the servant, and told him: “Put your sword back in its place, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword”. In the New Testament Galatians 6:7 reads "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." These are words to live by , unless......... I once knew an ol' boy named Clay He cursed God every day No matter what the people say No matter what he did Every time he came around Somebody ended up on the ground He was tough as a rattlesnake's hide But he tried to fight a gator Now he's on the other side Yeah you reap what you sow in this old land You've got to live by God's command Peacher man telling us not to sin He gamble away the tides in the devil's den You put your trust in the man with a cloak You might have just put your neck In the hangman's rope Trust is something given not earned That's something that I've learned I've trusted Him, now it's your turn Trust and obey, for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, just trust and obey It's as simple as that No 808 drums, no hi-hats heard Just your mouth and a word Just a belief in your heart He's loved you from the very start That's why He left His words with us To guide us, to nurture us To bring us up and out of the devil's control To break the devil's hold To live for glory, honor and His namesake For Goodness Sake Jesus Christ, My Lord, Master and Savior The beginning and the end are in His mighty hands Rest assured that He has you, He's here for you All you have to do is accept His love His Love from above Don't you want it? Don't you need it? All you have to do is ask And ye shall receive what the Good Book says All you have to do is ask How much more simpler could it be It looks pretty simple to me All you have to do is ask and you shall receive You just gotta believe Thank You Lord Jesus Thank You Thank You Now if you've got a feeling that you've never felt before Then get up off of that floor Pick up His Good Book and give it a glance Before it's your last chance Read it more and more Yeah, that's your core I'm praying for you today What else do I need to say I know that you're hurting And full of sorrow inside He is right there waiting He's right by your side He can take it all away From you today There is only one way He's already paid But You have to ask Him You have to want Him You have to seek Him,.... diligently You have to want to find Him He's everywhere if you'd just look In every tree and every brook From the mountains to the sea He's there for you and for me Yeah, He's everywhere, in everything, in everyone From the Earth to the Sun He's the only One He's the Father and the Son He's everywhere, in everything, in everyone Come on now and get you some Yeah come on down And get you some Don't let the devil steal the Son He'll do it one by one Lord please hurry up.....and come #SpokenWord #ChristianMusic #AcousticWorship #Gospel #Testimony #Faith #JesusChrist
