Madonna - Vogue (Hassegawa Music remix)

A new take on Madonna's iconic **Vogue**, reimagined through the sound of Hassegawa Music. ☀️✨ For this remix, I wanted to take the unmistakable attitude and energy of the original somewhere completely different: **bright, euphoric and melodic progressive house**. I worked out the original melody, harmony and bass line on piano, then reharmonized the track with uplifting major chords, inversions, maj7s and 9ths while keeping elements of the original bass movement in the verses. As the track develops, it opens into a full progressive-house arrangement with melodic bass lines, piano, custom-designed synths, atmospheric vocal chops and plenty of space and movement. One of the main plucks was designed from scratch in Serum using Bjork's vocal samples as oscillator material, giving it a character I couldn't quite get from a conventional synth waveform.
