Sedi Donka - Bulgarian Folk Song

May 24 is the day of Slavonic Alphabet, Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture. This day has been celebrated for 162 years now. No other holiday has been celebrated as long in Bulgarian history. I LOVE the music that comes from Bulgaria and it's infectious rhythms and melodies. The time signature is in 25/8 and (for this Canadian) is so difficult. So, I reached out to my Bulgarian musical compadre Kristian Alexandrov and he helped me understand how to feel this fascinating music. Sedi Donka...hope you enjoy!!
